Visual Design Challenge:
Create a family of monochrome icons for variety of button and desktop icons for SunOSI applications for a number of software developers working in Suns offices in France.
Open System Interconnection (OSI) is the interconnection several networking protocols that function around a stack principle. The stack is nothing more than layers of networking protocols that communicate with each other to provide the nucleus for moving data from "point-to-point" or "point-to-multi-point".
Solution:
Designed a family of icons representing the primary function of each tool using Solaris Icon Editor. Communicating primarily by email, ftp and voicemail went through multiple iterations of icons often for tools used for highly abstract network and communication protocols.
